Details

Actors Pocket Guide is developing a new learning management system (LMS) functionality called Grow, aimed at enhancing the educational experience for its users. While some initial designs and basic functionality have been established, the company seeks to refine and expand these elements to create a cohesive and user-friendly interface. The goal of this project is to design an intuitive and visually appealing UI/UX that aligns with the existing brand identity and supports seamless navigation and interaction. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge of design principles, user experience strategies, and interface development. The team will focus on creating a comprehensive design guide that will inform the future development of the Grow functionality, ensuring it meets user needs and expectations.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed design document outlining the proposed UI/UX enhancements for the Grow LMS functionality. This will include wireframes, mockups, and a style guide that defines visual elements such as color schemes, typography, and iconography. Additionally, the team will provide a user journey map to illustrate the intended user experience and interaction flow. These deliverables will serve as a blueprint for the development team to implement the final product.

Actor's Pocket Guide, launched in 2018 by theater director Nicole and technology expert Anatole, is a powerful platform designed to streamline theater production while offering tools for learning and company management. Originally created to address organizational and communication challenges in theater, it now supports actors, producers, and arts educators with features like show creation, cast and crew coordination, sheet music sharing, and task assignments.

With the addition of a learning management system, the platform now offers educational modules focused on performing arts, inclusivity, and antiracism. This allows users to enhance their skills while promoting equity in theater. Actor's Pocket Guide will also eventually include a company management system that simplifies scheduling, financial tracking, and other business operations, helping arts organizations run smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

Nicole & Anatole continue to build a bridge between Broadway and theater communities worldwide, empowering users to create inclusive, well-organized productions that shine.
