Description

Actor's Pocket Guide, launched in 2018 by theater director Nicole and technology expert Anatole, is a powerful platform designed to streamline theater production while offering tools for learning and company management. Originally created to address organizational and communication challenges in theater, it now supports actors, producers, and arts educators with features like show creation, cast and crew coordination, sheet music sharing, and task assignments.

With the addition of a learning management system, the platform now offers educational modules focused on performing arts, inclusivity, and antiracism. This allows users to enhance their skills while promoting equity in theater. Actor's Pocket Guide will also eventually include a company management system that simplifies scheduling, financial tracking, and other business operations, helping arts organizations run smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

Nicole & Anatole continue to build a bridge between Broadway and theater communities worldwide, empowering users to create inclusive, well-organized productions that shine.

Cloud Infrastructure Enhancement for Application Deployment

Actors Pocket Guide is seeking to enhance its cloud hosting infrastructure to support the deployment of additional applications. The current setup needs a thorough review to identify gaps and additional infrastructure requirements. The goal is to streamline the deployment process by utilizing Terraform modules and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices. By focusing on these areas, the project aims to ensure a scalable and efficient environment for future application deployments. Learners will work on tasks such as analyzing the existing infrastructure, designing improvements, and implementing automated deployment processes.
