Actors Pocket Guide is seeking a team of learners to design a web and mobile-friendly wiki page dedicated to showcasing plays and musicals. The goal is to create a "Show Landing Page" that effectively displays both default and specific information about various theatrical productions. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of web and mobile design principles, user experience, and information architecture. The page should be intuitive, visually appealing, and easy to navigate, ensuring users can quickly access the information they seek. Key elements to consider include layout design, responsive design for mobile compatibility, and the integration of multimedia elements such as images or videos. The project will provide an opportunity for learners to work collaboratively, applying their skills in a real-world context while meeting the needs of a niche audience in the performing arts industry.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include a fully designed and functional web and mobile-friendly "Show Landing Page" for plays and musicals. The page should feature a clean and organized layout, responsive design for various devices, and sections for default and specific show information. Additionally, the project should include documentation detailing the design process, user experience considerations, and any multimedia elements integrated into the page.

Actor's Pocket Guide, launched in 2018 by theater director Nicole and technology expert Anatole, is a powerful platform designed to streamline theater production while offering tools for learning and company management. Originally created to address organizational and communication challenges in theater, it now supports actors, producers, and arts educators with features like show creation, cast and crew coordination, sheet music sharing, and task assignments.

With the addition of a learning management system, the platform now offers educational modules focused on performing arts, inclusivity, and antiracism. This allows users to enhance their skills while promoting equity in theater. Actor's Pocket Guide will also eventually include a company management system that simplifies scheduling, financial tracking, and other business operations, helping arts organizations run smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

Nicole & Anatole continue to build a bridge between Broadway and theater communities worldwide, empowering users to create inclusive, well-organized productions that shine.
