Details

Actors Pocket Guide is seeking to enhance its existing learning management system by integrating an interactive quiz module. The goal of this project is to develop a versatile quiz functionality that supports various question types, including multiple choice, true/false, and short answer formats. This module will enable educators to create engaging assessments that reinforce learning and provide immediate feedback to learners. The project will require the team to design an intuitive user interface, ensuring seamless integration with the current platform. Additionally, the team will need to implement a robust backend to handle quiz creation, storage, and grading efficiently. By completing this project, learners will apply their knowledge of software development, user experience design, and database management.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a fully functional quiz module integrated into the existing platform. The module should support multiple question types and provide a user-friendly interface for both educators and learners. Deliverables also include comprehensive documentation detailing the module's features, installation instructions, and user guidelines. Additionally, the team will provide a testing report demonstrating the module's functionality and reliability.

Actor's Pocket Guide, launched in 2018 by theater director Nicole and technology expert Anatole, is a powerful platform designed to streamline theater production while offering tools for learning and company management. Originally created to address organizational and communication challenges in theater, it now supports actors, producers, and arts educators with features like show creation, cast and crew coordination, sheet music sharing, and task assignments.

With the addition of a learning management system, the platform now offers educational modules focused on performing arts, inclusivity, and antiracism. This allows users to enhance their skills while promoting equity in theater. Actor's Pocket Guide will also eventually include a company management system that simplifies scheduling, financial tracking, and other business operations, helping arts organizations run smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

Nicole & Anatole continue to build a bridge between Broadway and theater communities worldwide, empowering users to create inclusive, well-organized productions that shine.
