Actors Pocket Guide is a theater SaaS platform that aims to create hundreds of custom and proprietary knowledge guides for theater professionals. The goal of this project is to utilize Pinecone.io to build a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) knowledge system that efficiently organizes and retrieves information from these guides. This system will enhance the platform's ability to provide users with quick and accurate access to relevant theater knowledge. The project will involve understanding the capabilities of Pinecone.io, integrating it into the existing platform, and ensuring that the knowledge system is scalable and user-friendly. By completing this project, learners will apply their classroom knowledge of database management, information retrieval, and SaaS platform development.

Actor's Pocket Guide, launched in 2018 by theater director Nicole and technology expert Anatole, is a powerful platform designed to streamline theater production while offering tools for learning and company management. Originally created to address organizational and communication challenges in theater, it now supports actors, producers, and arts educators with features like show creation, cast and crew coordination, sheet music sharing, and task assignments.

With the addition of a learning management system, the platform now offers educational modules focused on performing arts, inclusivity, and antiracism. This allows users to enhance their skills while promoting equity in theater. Actor's Pocket Guide will also eventually include a company management system that simplifies scheduling, financial tracking, and other business operations, helping arts organizations run smoothly from rehearsal to performance.

Nicole & Anatole continue to build a bridge between Broadway and theater communities worldwide, empowering users to create inclusive, well-organized productions that shine.
